Dear MMRF Conquer The Trail Hikers,
We are so excited and grateful to have you on the MMRF Conquer The Trail - Moving Mountains for Multiple Myeloma Program. Taking on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu while raising funds for myeloma research will be a powerful and impactful experience.
Moving Mountains for Multiple Myeloma (MM4MM) is a new program than spans three adventure hikes: Mt. Kilimanjaro, Grand Canyon and The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. I was lucky enough to be a part of the Mt. Kilimanjaro team who summited the mountain in January of this year. I can tell you first hand what a wonderful way this is to see the beauty of nature, take on a physical challenge and have a big impact helping find a cure.
We are thrilled to partner with The Walking Connection, an outstanding organization that will lead us on our entire Peruvian adventure. That experience starts now, with this training program and will culminate with our hike in August.
Thank you for being a member of our team and we'll see you on the trail soon.

Hello MMRF Conquer The Trail Hikers!
WELCOME to Peru, the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu,
Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime! The Inca Trail and Machu Picchu is the crown jewel of the Andes Region of South American landscape and you have chosen to see and experience it in a way that few visitors ever will, up close and personal, one step at a time. At the same time, you are helping to lead the world toward a cure for cancer - NOW!
Over the last 15 years we have had the good fortune to lead hundreds of people along this trail and into the citadel of Machu Picchu, safely. We are proud to bring this iConquer adventure to Moving Mountains for Multiple Myeloma and proud of our association with MMRF.
One of the things that make adventures like Conquer The Trail such a great experience is that participants from all walks of life have the opportunity to participate on a level that is right for them. CTT is designed with the idea that anyone who seeks to support the vital mission of MMRF should have the opportunity to complete a personal journey without having to race against time, distance or each other. Rather, we seek to create an experience based in nature and whose success is measured not in miles, but in milestones.
To do this, our first and highest priority is your safety and preparedness for hiking in Peru. This Training Guide is written so that whether you are new to hiking or a seasoned outdoors adventurer, you can select the information that will make your visit to Peru and the Andes Mountains a success. Please read it carefully, follow our recommendations and reach out to us if you have any questions about any aspect of hiking the Inca Trail or your Conquer The Trail adventure. Start training NOW. We wish you great success and we'll see you on the trail in the very near future.
